Born in December 1973, in Kolkata, Shaila spent her formative years studying at La Martiniere for Girls. In her time here, she was actively involved in various school activities and projects like the interact club, where she was on the Editorial Board, and inter-school fests where she represented La Martiniere in dance, debate, quiz and sport. Both an avid sportsperson and a conscientious pupil, she was involved in athletics, swimming and basketball, and was the Vice Captain of her house. She was also the English prize winner of the plus-II section. She graduated from J.D.Birla Institute, and then pursued both her B.Ed as well as her Master’s Degree from the same place. A gold medalist of Jadavpur University at the Post Graduate level, she cleared her National Eligibility Test for Lectureship, and joined J.D.Birla in the capacity of Head of the Dept of Education and General Home Science. After moving on from here, she worked with Inlingua, the International Institute of Languages, in the capacity of their General Manager, and set up their soft skills division, which was called Innove. This done, she took on the role of a free lancer, and has worked on a wide genre of projects, and with diverse individuals and groups. She presently is the Director of The Rubikon, a company which specializes in training and HR solutions, and is involved not only in direct training activities herself, but also, in actively nurturing a team of trainers to impart quality training sessions to the company’s varied clientele. As an Academician, it has always been her dream to reach out to individuals who seek self enhancement, with this aim in mind, and under her stewardship, The Rubikon has branched into newer territories with The Rubikon Akademie and The Rubikon Studio.
Anupama was born in August 1966 and her formative years were spent in Yorkshire, England; her primary education took place here. Once back, she was class topper every year & was awarded a National Scholarship by the Central Board of Secondary Education in Class X. She was also actively involved in, and participated in all school activities and was Captain of her house. A Gold Medalist from Jadavpur University, she also acquired a B.Ed degree from the same Institute. Anupama started her career as coordinator instructor of the diploma courses being conducted at Smt.J.D.Birla Institute. From here, she moved on to being an Instructor at Inlingua, the International Institute of Languages, and taught English language communication, voice quality, pronunciation, accent training and a variety of corporate courses like business writing, correspondence and email etiquette, salutations and greetings and the like. Moving on to free lance training work, she covered a wide genre designing course material for the ECS Academy, working as a National Trainer for HUL, in association with the Lakme Training Academy, and as a Trainer for The Finishing Academy, which was into corporate training.
She is presently Director of The Rubikon and is engaged in active training as well as in the other verticals of the organization- be it managing field audit assignments, providing HR solutions to our SMEs or overseeing credit risk analysis reports for our partner organizations. While this is an individual skill set, the company undertakes induction programs, product orientations, brand building activities and the like in tandem with the needs of the client, and carries out national training cascades with its team of trainers, the details of which are enlisted in the company power point and letter of introduction.
